The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi State has warned Senator Dino Melaye to stop claiming he is a member of the party.
The party’s Public Relations Officer, Tayo John, said in Lokoja on Friday that Melaye is not recognized in the ADC.
He explained that Melaye has been interfering in the party’s activities and attacking its members, even though he does not belong to the party.
According to him, the ADC leadership in Kogi stands on its own and has no connection with what he described as “marauders” like Melaye who pretend to be members.
He said:
“Let me make it clear: Dino Melaye is not a member of the ADC in Kogi State. People in his ward do not know him as our member. He has no identity in our party and cannot speak for us.”
The spokesman described Melaye as someone who creates social media content just to attract attention and make noise online.
He added that Melaye’s actions do not represent the ADC, and therefore, he has no role in deciding the party’s leadership or direction.
