The mother of the nurse who administered the fatal injection to the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has spoken out in defense of her daughter, Feyisayo Ogedengbe.
Mrs. Ogedengbe vehemently maintains that her daughter is a qualified and innocent healthcare professional, contrary to the rumors that have been circulating.
Police Unveils Suspects in Mohbad’s Death Investigation
Disputing claims that her daughter is an unqualified or auxiliary nurse, Mrs. Ogedengbe asserted that Feyisayo is a bona fide professional nurse who has an unblemished record in her career.
It has been 23 days since Feyisayo Ogedengbe’s arrest, and the autopsy of the late singer has been pending, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the case.
According to Mrs. Ogedengbe’s account of the incident, her daughter had no prior contact with Mohbad but was contacted on the day of the tragic incident by one of Mohbad’s associates known as “Spending” to attend to the singer’s hand injury.
Present during the injection procedure were Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi’s younger brother, his personal assistant, and his friend “Spending.”
‘Mohbad Brought in Dead’- Hospital Says
Mrs. Ogedengbe is steadfast in her belief that her daughter’s injection could not have been the cause of Mohbad’s untimely death, emphasizing that her daughter is a highly skilled and proficient professional who has never made a mistake in her practice.
She said:
“Feyisayo Ogedengbe is my first child. She learnt nursing for three years in a private hospital, and she worked for a year with her boss without any issues. She isn’t troublesome at all.
“She doesn’t know Mohbad, It was Spending that called Feyisayo to treat Mohbad, she said his wife, friend and his sibling were there when he was being treated. The injections she gave Mohbad couldn’t have killed him. Feyisayo has never met Mohbad before it was spending that referred him to her.”
She made a heartfelt plea for her daughter’s release, asserting her innocence and claiming that she had been wrongly implicated as the main suspect in the case.
