Birthday wishes and greetings from top celebrities and fans have continued to pour in for popular Afrobeat star, David Adeleke better known as Davido.
The multi-talented singer who was born in Atlanta, United States, on November 21, 1992 to Osun State business mogul, Adedeji Adeleke and a late university lecturer, Veronica Adeleke, added a new year to his age, after clocking 31 today.
To celebrate the incredible singer, some celebrities took to their social media handle to eulogize the star.
Abdul Uthman, son of Davido’s late aide, Obama DMW via his Instagram penned down a birthday note, expressing gratitude to the singer for taking care of him after his dad’s passing.
Uthman wrote,
“Dad, I’m writing this from the bottom of my heart. Keeping a promise is one of the hardest things in life!
“You promised to help me since I lost my father. You never rejected me. You loved me just the way a father should love his child.
“Every video of us, you always saying ‘my son’. Dad, my father would be so grateful for all you do for me! I love you so much.
“There was a day I was so broken, but when we spoke, he didn’t just solve my issue. He spoke to me, ‘My son hope you really good’. These words are so genuine and lovely.”
Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus also celebrated the singer, wishing him good health and long life.
She wrote;
“Happy birthday king David…..I wish you long life in good health…….Live long Brozay @davido.”
Popular music director, TG OMORI via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter also celebrated the singer.
He wrote;
“Happy birthday baddest. @davido. God bless your new age. Amazing champ.”
Popular celebrity barman and Davido’s close ally, Cubana Chief Priest also took to his official Instagram page to shower prayers on the ‘Fem’ crooner.
The singer’s personal logistics manager, Isreal DMW also wished his boss a happy birthday on Instagram and prayed for God to bless his new age.
“Happy Birthday King. Bless your new age sir,” he wrote
Self acclaimed activist, Verydarkman via Instagram also gushed over the singer whom he met recently in Lagos.
Sharing videos of their meeting, the media personality prayed that the singer would never bury any other child after Ifeanyi. He praised the Unavailable crooner for ruling the music industry for over ten years and still retaining his spot.
The Afrobeats star made an appearance on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his fourth studio album, Timeless while marking the eve of his birthday.
Following the successful debut of his Away Festival in Atlanta, The DMW boss performed a spirited medley of his two most reviving singles to date from his Grammy-nominated album, ‘Timeless,’ ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable.’
Recall the Afrobeats superstar recently received three Grammy nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards.
The nominations include Best Global Album for his latest album, “Timeless.” The other two nominations are for Best African Performance for his song “Unavailable” and Best Global Music Performance for his song “Feel.”
