Nigerian film producer and actor Bolanle Ninalowo has shared perceptions into how he overcame early career challenges to achieve success in the Nollywood industry.
In an unreleased episode of the ‘Off The Top’ podcast,the actor spoke on how the setbacks and failures he experienced paved way for his achievements in the entertainment industry.
When asked about what inspires him for perseverance the actor emphasized that moments of misfortunes can reveal unforeseen opportunities for personal growth.
Looking into his journey in the Nollywood industry, he credited his eventual success to the lessons learned from his early failures.
He said: “When you fall flat on your face and you are backed against the wall, that is when you get the biggest opportunities to discover yourself. I tell people that when I came to Nollywood, the secrets of my success are buried in my failures.”
Before Ninalowo’s attempt into the Nigerian movie industry, he first worked as an accountant in a bank in the United States of America. When he relocated back to Nigeria, he worked with Guaranty Trust Bank.
Ninalowo initially started as a producer but encountered setbacks. He then explored a career in music, only to realize it was not his true passion. He returned to acting in the mid-2000s.
He produced his first movie titled Rebirth. He has featured in several movies including, Coming From Insanity (2019), Just Married (2015), Atlas (2017), The Gateman (2017), Ratnik (2020), 13 Letters (2021), The Bloom Boys (2023), Almajiri (2022), Ruthless (2024) and many others.
