Israeli-Gaza war: US President Joe Biden arrived in Israel on Wednesday in a show of solidarity, in the wake of recent terrorist attacks that have heightened regional tensions. The visit was overshadowed by a deadly blast at a Gaza hospital, adding to the already fraught atmosphere.
Upon arrival, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warmly greeted Biden on the tarmac, symbolizing a renewed bond between the two leaders.
The security measures were notably stringent, reflecting the gravity of the situation.
After a brief exchange at Ben Gurion Airport, the leaders’ motorcades proceeded towards a heavily guarded Tel Aviv hotel, where discussions between the two heads of state are set to take place.
With hundreds of armed police and troops deployed around the vicinity, including armed snipers positioned atop neighboring structures, the security presence remained visibly heightened.
