The first baby mama of Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido, Sophia Momodu, has reportedly filed a counter affidavit opposing the singer’s request for joint custody of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
Top Society recalls that Davido recently initiated a legal suit aiming for custody of their daughter days before his traditional wedding
The singer in the case, no, LD/1587PMC/2024/ claimed that although he once had a relationship with Momodu, it ended years ago, and they had agreed to co-parent their child.

He, however alleged that this arrangement had not been honoured, stating that Sophia rejected his house offer and demanded a monthly rent of N5 million, among other things.
In response, Sophia said that she had an affair with Davido from 2020-2022 while he was dating.
Momodu via her lawyers also states that she has solely borne the responsibility for their daughter over the past two years, while Davido misleadingly portrays himself on social media as a supportive and active father.
The next court hearing is scheduled for Friday, July 5 (today).
