Ekiti-based chef Damilola Adeparusi better known as Chef Dammy has maintained silence on social media following reports alleging that she was arrested by the police.
In October, Chef Dammy had via her Instagram stories opened up on about her alleged travails with Ekiti-base cleric, Prophet Adegoke Jeremiah, better known as Billion Dollars Prophet.
Chef Dammy had cried out asking the general public to hold the cleric responsible if anything happens to her.
She added that she received countless threats, insults and bullying from her pastor, noting she was ready to spill everything, including what Adegoke told her: which is to “prepare for war.”
Adegoke is believed to have been the sponsor of Chef Dammy’s 120-hour cook-a-thon back in June following the wave of Guinness World Record attempts inspired by Hilda Baci.
In a latest development, a social media influencer Oluyemi Fasipe on Thursday called on Chef Dammy’s family to speak out.
He wrote,
“I have information that Chef Dammy has been arrested by men of the @PoliceNG AIG zone 17 in Akure for a petition against her by her pastor, that police station has a history of extremely corrupt practices and I am speaking from personal experience. I urge the families of Chef Dammy to speak out in case the right of Dammy is abused at any point.”
The spokesperson of AIG Zone 17, DSP Hakeem, also confirmed that the police received a petition against Chef Dammy and she was invited for questioning.
Recall that Chef Dammy rose to limelight after she attempted to cook for 120 hours, days after Akwa-Ibom born chef, Hilda Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Hours by an individual.
