The Lagos State Police Command has reacted to the death of one Adebayo Adeseko, 30 and Adesanya Sarah, 36 suspected to be lovers, in an apartment in the Ojodu area of the state.
Top Society learned that the duo on Saturday engaged a brawl on Saturday and were seen by the neighbours arguing profusely till Sunday morning when Bayo allegedly beat Sarah to death before ending his life.
In a video making rounds online, the couple could be seen lying dead in a pool of their blood.

According to Sarah’s sister, Layor, via X, a neighbour had in June 2023 hinted to her about the travails that Sarah was going through at the hands of her boyfriend, noting that she was constantly being subjected to assault.
Layor said she confronted her sister about the issue, but she denied the claim, adding she also reported the matter to the Nigerian police, but they told her that nothing could be done until Sarah reported the incident.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the couple were found dead at their apartment at No. 8B, Gbete Street, off Shoyemi Bamaco Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos.
Hundeyin added that the sudden and unnatural death was reported to the Ojodu Police Division on Sunday at about 9.10 am.
The spokesperson said that on the strength of the information, a team of operatives from the station immediately went to the scene, photographed and evacuated the corpses to the mortuary for autopsy.
It was learnt that the man was a filmmaker, who had a misunderstanding on Saturday with his lover, which degenerated into a heated argument and fight, resulting in the woman’s death.
Adeseko allegedly stabbed himself and died after discovering his partner was dead.
