Popular Nigerian clergyman Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere popularly known as Odumeje has warned fans against filming or taking pictures of him whenever he is sighted in public.
While addressing his congregation during a ministration service, the clergyman expressed his disapproval with being treated like a celebrity, highlighting that he is a prophet and not a celebrity.
Odumeje expressed that being recorded without permission makes him uncomfortable and issued a serious warning to those who persist in the act. He went on to say that he would not hesitate to break the phones of anyone caught filming him.
He warned: “Stop videoing me when you see me on the road. I am not a celebrity; I am a prophet. I am more dangerous. I will scatter that phone spiritually.”
Odumeje is the general overseer of The Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, he is also a musician.
Odumeje has featured on musical works and has also hosted comedy shows. He is said to have started his musical career long before becoming a clergy. Most remarkably, he released a song with Flavour.
He is well known for making people laugh, bringing much comic relief in a nation burdened with so much socio-economic issues.
During one of his interview sessions, Odumeje revealed that his mother saw him becoming a great prophet and she relentlessly backed up his future with prayers and fasting, for her son.
