In a recent statement issued by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, the company has strongly refuted claims of any impending pump price hikes.
This announcement comes amid widespread speculation regarding potential increases in fuel prices.
The NNPC management, in their official statement released on Friday, sought to dispel these rumors, asserting that such claims were entirely unfounded.
“Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPC Retail value your patronage, and we do not have the intention to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated,” the statement read.
No Plan To Increase Pump Price – NNPCL
According to NNPC Limited, they remain committed to providing the Nigerian public with the highest quality fuel products at the most affordable prices possible.
This development follows a series of price adjustments since President Bola Tinubu assumed office on May 29, declaring the end of fuel subsidies.
The NNPC has raised prices on at least two occasions, resulting in fuel costs now standing at nearly three times their previous rates, exceeding N200 per litre.
