Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has revealed that the club has likely identified Pep Guardiola’s potential successor at the Etihad. Guardiola’s future remains uncertain, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.
In an interview with TNT Sports Brazil, Ederson expressed confidence in the club’s preparation for life after Guardiola.
“City is a very well-structured club, with great directors and an excellent CEO,” Ederson stated. “I believe they already have a replacement in mind. When Pep decides to leave, they will aim to continue along the same path.”
Acknowledging Guardiola’s impact, he added, “Losing him would be a huge blow because we are talking about the best manager in the world. But I see the club being well-prepared for the post-Pep era.”
During his tenure, Guardiola has led Manchester City to numerous trophies, including six Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League triumph.
