The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said it is not in talks with the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) or any other political party.
In a statement by its publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party described reports of such discussions as false.
He said the party’s coalition leaders are not currently negotiating with any political group.
According to the statement, ADC is focused on challenging what it calls illegal actions taken against its leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and others linked to the ruling party.
The party said it believes going to court is the best way to protect democracy and uphold the rule of law in Nigeria.
ADC added that while it is open to working with other opposition groups in the future, it is not planning to leave the party or merge with anyone at this time.
It also expressed confidence that the courts will act fairly and not give in to pressure.
