Governor Diri solidified his victory as the final local government results, including the pivotal Southern Ijaw, were unveiled. Emerging victorious in six local government areas, Diri’s successful re-election underscores the continued support for the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
Meanwhile, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Diri’s closest contender, managed to secure victories in two local government areas.
