Jamie Foxx Speaks On Sexual Assaulting Allegations

TOPSOCIETYNG

American actor and singer, Jamie Foxx has denied allegations of sexual assault made against him.

Topsociety earlier reported that a woman, identified simply as Jane Doe, filed a lawsuit in which she accused Foxx of groped her breasts and genitals at a restaurant in New York City without her consent.

In the lawsuit filed on Monday with the New York State Supreme Court, Jane alleged that the actor appeared to be intoxicated at the time. Doe also accused Foxx of moving her to a secluded area, where he allegedly assaulted her.

Reacting to the allegations, a spokesperson for Foxx  said the claims in the lawsuit are “false and have no merit.”

The spokesperson also said a similar lawsuit was filed in 2020 and was dismissed soon after.

The spokesperson said,

“The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter. The claims are no more viable today than they were then.”

Foxx’s career spans several decades and includes a variety of roles in film and television.

The Oscar-winner had a medical episode earlier this year after he was hospitalized in Atlanta for an undisclosed medical condition. He also addressed his recovery for the first time in July.

Jamie Foxx gained widespread recognition as a featured player in the sketch comedy show Living Colour until the show’s end in 1994.

In addition to acting, he is a musician.

He gained prominence for his film roles in Booty Call, Ali, Jarhead, Dreamgirls, Miami Vice and Horrible Bosses among others
