President Bola Tinubu has greenlighted the appointment of eight Chief Executive Officers for vital Parastatals and Agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, signaling a significant shake-up within the government communication sector.
The announcement, which came into effect immediately, reflects the President’s commitment to revamping crucial institutions for national cohesion and international representation.
The parastatals and agencies affected by this new directive include the National Orientation Agency, the Nigerian Television Authority, the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, National Broadcasting Commission, Voice of Nigeria, Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, News Agency of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Press Council.

The recent appointments were made public only a day after a closed-door meeting between President Tinubu and the Information Minister, Mohammed Idris, at the State House in Abuja.
Shedding light on the development, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, underscored the President’s emphasis on fostering innovation and opening new avenues for Nigerian citizens.

Among the notable changes, Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu assumes the role of Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, while Mr. Salihu Dembos retains his position as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority. Dr. Muhammed Bulama steps into the shoes of Dr. Mansir Liman as the Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
Furthermore, Mr. Charles Ebuebu replaces Balarabe Illelah as the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, and Mr. Jibrin Ndace takes over from Osita Okechukwu as the Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria. Dr. Lekan Fadolapo has been appointed as the Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, Mr. Ali Ali as the Director-General of the News Agency of Nigeria, and Mr. Dili Ezughah as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Press Council.
