In a recent meeting with commanders, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, revealed that the Nigerian Air Force NAF, is on the brink of initiating the incorporation of its newly acquired fleet into its arsenal.

With the procurement process already underway, the service has commenced the reception of additional air assets sanctioned by the Nigerian government.

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar emphasized the pivotal role these forthcoming platforms would play in the relentless pursuit of combating the escalating threats posed by terrorists, bandits, and other criminal entities within the country. The induction of these advanced air assets is anticipated to fortify the Air Force’s operational capabilities, allowing them to adopt a more potent and effective stance against those perpetrating heinous acts across the nation.

Edward Gabkwet, the official spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force, echoed the Air Chief’s sentiments in a statement released on Wednesday.

Part of the statement read; “The NAF has started taking delivery of additional air assets purchased by the Federal Government as only recently, it received the 2 remaining Diamond-62 Multi-Purpose Platform at a ceremony held in Ilorin, Kwara State.

“The NAF will, in no distant time, be inducting other new platforms acquired for the Service. When inducted, the CAS noted, these additional aircraft would surely add considerable impetus to NAF operations in dealing with insurgents, terrorists, and other criminal elements plaguing our nation.”

Abubakar also implored the commanders to uphold the trust of the citizens.
