Customer Reactions and MultiChoice’s Response
The announcement has sparked mixed reactions among subscribers, with many expressing concerns over the affordability of pay-TV services in light of the country’s increasing cost of living. Some customers took to social media to vent their frustrations, urging MultiChoice to consider more budget-friendly options or introduce flexible payment plans.
However, MultiChoice reassured customers of its commitment to offering top-notch entertainment, sports coverage, movies, and international programming. The company also emphasized its continued investment in improving service quality, technology, and customer experience.
Despite the outcry, the new pricing will officially take effect from Saturday, March 1, 2025. Subscribers are advised to review their preferred packages and make necessary adjustments before the implementation date.
