Nollywood actress, Bimbo Oshin has expressed gratitude to those who contacted her after an explosion occurred in the Bodija area of Ibadan, Oyo State capital, adding that she is safe.
Top Society earlier reported that the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, confirmed that seven people lost their lives in the explosion that occurred at Dejo Oyeleye Street, Bodija area of Ibadan.

Governor Makinde, while speaking to journalists, mentioned that the explosion resulted in 77 injuries and was caused by illegal miners who stored explosive devices in a residential building.
Makinde emphasized the state government’s swift response, noting that first responders and relevant agencies were immediately deployed to conduct search and rescue operations.

Speaking about her safety after the incident, the 52-year-old made a brief statement on Instagram on Wednesday after sharing clips from the scene on Tuesday night.
The Ibadan-based actress also prayed for the victims of the explosion.
She wrote:
“A big thank you to everyone who took their time to check up on me and my family prior to yesterday’s incident in Ibadan. I am safe and sound, thank you for all the love, it means a lot to me. This is really disheartening.
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace and quick recovery to those who are injured. God bless you.”
