Veteran singer and activist, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy has come under heavy criticism for slut-shaming actress and singer, Mercy Isoyip who went viral for wrongly reciting the lyrics of the National Anthem at an event in Imo State.

It would be recalled that, the actress while leading the recitation of the national anthem at a recent Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, the Imo state capital had missed the lyrics, sparking an outrage on social media for making such error.

She has since apolozied to Nigerians for the mistake.

However, reacting to the apology, Charly Boy, who is the son of a late Supreme Court Justice, Chukwudifu Oputa via his verified Instagram page on Wednesday slut shamed the actress cum singer, accusing her of ”collecting pr*ck and money” to perform at the event.

He also rubbished the All Progressive Party (APC) and in extension the Nigerian police for disgracing the country by hiring an inexperienced person to led such a critical role in the event.

He maintained that the apology tendered by the actress wasn’t recieved by Nigerians, advising the actress to stop her ‘acting to be a side chic’ instead.
