The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has said there is no truth in claims that he and Governor Monday Okpebholo are not united.
In a statement he personally signed, Idahosa said some people are spreading false stories online to cause problems between him and the governor.
According to him, these people are unhappy with the strong unity within the state government.
He explained that the false reports are meant to create confusion and weaken the administration, but he insisted that such plans will fail.
Idahosa said his loyalty to Governor Okpebholo remains strong and unchanged. He described the governor as his boss and senior brother and said they are fully united.
“As long as my boss and I remain united, every plan to divide us will fail,” he said.
The deputy governor added that he fully supports the governor and the policies of the administration. He stressed that their partnership is solid and cannot be broken.
“I stand firmly with my boss. Any attempt to divide us or weaken our team is already a failure,” Idahosa said.
He warned those behind the false stories to stop, saying they are wasting their time.
