The Court of Appeal in Lagos State has ousted Hon Emeka Nnamani of the Labour Party (LP) from his position as the representative for Aba North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State. The court, citing severe concerns over certificate forgery, took a decisive step in upholding the integrity of the electoral process.

The certificate forgery allegations, which date back to 2015, have finally culminated in a verdict that has left the political landscape reeling. Moreover, the court has recognized Alex Ikwechegh of the All Grand Progressives Alliance (APGA) as the rightful victor of the February 25 general election in the constituency.
