On this World NGO Day, we recognize the critical role that NGOs play in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges, from poverty and inequality to climate change and social injustice among other challenges.
Top Society is celebrating one of a Nigeria’s NGO, Mercy Care Dvelopment Foundation which is founded by Mercy Anawerighe Balami, a visionary leader and philanthropist who is making a lasting impact in the lives of others.
MERCY CARE DEVELPOMENT FOUNDATION
Located in Abuja, Nigeria, Mercy Care Development Foundation (MCDF) is a humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged children, women, and communities. Since its inception in 2017, MCDF has remained steadfast in its commitment to integrity, efficiency, and transparency.
MCDF envisions a Nigeria where all children, regardless of their background or circumstances, have access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. The foundation strive to create a society where women are empowered, and communities are equipped to break the cycle of poverty.
MCDF’s mission is to provide humanitarian assistance, advocacy, and community development programs to vulnerable populations in Nigeria. They are focused on seven thematic areas:
