Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has declared that he is 50 times bigger than Grammy nominated singer Ahmed Ololade professionally known as Asake.
The rapper made the claim while reacting to a resurfaced 2019 tweet from Asake, back when he was an up and coming artist, asking him to follow back.
An X user identified as @thejacobsss stated that it is comical to rank Asake higher than Blaqbonez, which the rapper agreed saying he’s a much bigger artist than Asake is.
He wrote: “Asake is big, but saying he’s bigger than Blaqbonez is pure comedy walai.”
Blaqbonez agreed saying: “Like people are funny. I’m 50x bigger. I sold out the O2 Arena in 1 minute; it took him longer.”
Blaqbonez is currently signed to Chocolate City. He is popularly known for his distinct rap style as well as his creative ingenuity.
The rapper was profiled by The New York Times as one of the new guards of Nigerian music in 2019. He is widely known for his controversial self-proclaimed status as the Best Rapper in Africa (BRIA).
Blaqbonez started participating in underground rap battles in 2011. In due course, he won Terry Tha Rapman’s Zombie Competition in 2012 at the age of 16, beating 3000 rappers in the challenge.
