A serious argument has broken out on social media between Femi Fani-Kayode and Dele Momodu, attracting a lot of public attention.
The fight started when Fani-Kayode strongly criticised Momodu in a long post. He used harsh words to question Momodu’s credibility, past actions, and political importance. He accused him of being opportunistic and frequently changing political loyalties for personal gain.
In response, Momodu rejected these claims and criticised Fani-Kayode in return. He described him as someone who lacks the proper behaviour expected of a diplomat, calling him “an ambassador without decorum.”
Momodu also claimed that despite the public attacks, Fani-Kayode had privately asked for his help in the past, including requesting to publish content on his platform in February 2026. He used this to suggest that Fani-Kayode’s actions were inconsistent.
Going further, Momodu accused Fani-Kayode of being aggressive and behaving like a bully. He questioned whether he is suitable for diplomatic responsibilities and pointed to what he described as unstable behaviour.
He also said Fani-Kayode has changed political alliances several times, including seeking support from figures like Atiku Abubakar, which he believes contradicts his current claims of loyalty.
The argument continued as both men brought up past interactions and personal issues to attack each other.
Fani-Kayode responded again, saying Momodu’s comments came from frustration. He described him as politically irrelevant and defended his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, saying he has now fully aligned with the current government.
On his part, Momodu insisted his criticism is based on principle, not personal interest. He accused Fani-Kayode of using political loyalty to stay relevant and remain close to those in power.
