Ahead of the first quarter- final game of the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu on Friday afternoon made a video call to the Nigerian team, urging them to keep the winning momentum.
The video conference took place hours to the match with Angola. The encounter gives no room for errors as a winner must emerge.

The president whilst giving the team a prep talk, spoke to the Sports Minister, after which thanked the players and their coaches for making the nation proud.

Sharing photos from the video conference, the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu via his Instagram story on Friday wrote:
“Mr President @officialasiwajubat encouraging the team ahead of the AFCON quarter final match with Angola.”
The winner between Nigeria and Angola on Wednesday will February 7, 2024, face the winner of Cape Verde vs. South Africa at the 40,000-capacity Peace Stadium in Bouake.
The AFCON tournament runs from January 13 until February 11.
