Popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy is set to feature on the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Colombian music star Shakira.

The song, titled “Dai Dai,” is expected to be officially released on May 14, 2026, ahead of the global football tournament.

The collaboration marks another major international achievement for Burna Boy, who continues to gain global recognition for his music.

It will also make him the second Nigerian artiste to appear on an official FIFA World Cup soundtrack in consecutive tournaments.

In the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar, Nigerian singer Davido featured on the official song “Hayya Hayya (Better Together),” alongside other international artistes.

Shakira announced the new World Cup anthem in a post shared on social media. She wrote:

“From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready!”

Fans across the world have already reacted excitedly to the collaboration, with many praising FIFA’s decision to include African talent on football’s biggest stage once again.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The tournament is scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
