The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock test conducted on March 28, 2026, across the country.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board disclosed that the mock exercise was carried out in 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide. According to JAMB, a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination, but only 152,586 candidates were able to successfully sit for the test.
JAMB also revealed that more than 20 CBT centres have been delisted due to serious technical problems experienced during the exercise. The board explained that these centres failed to meet the required operational standards, which affected the smooth conduct of the examination.
The examination body further warned candidates to avoid engaging with fraudsters who claim they can manipulate or upgrade UTME scores. It stressed that any candidate found guilty of such malpractice risks having their registration cancelled. In cases where such actions are discovered after the examination, results may be withheld or completely withdrawn.
To check their results, candidates are required to send “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration. JAMB emphasized that results will only be sent to the registered SIM card.
The board also acknowledged that the mock exam was affected by several challenges, including technical glitches, network failures, and delays in some centres. In some locations, candidates waited for hours, while others experienced disruptions during the test.
The main UTME examination is scheduled to take place from April 16 to April 25, 2026.
