Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe who is well known for her roles in Yoruba movies has encountered a fire outbreak in her Lagos residence reducing valuable possessions to ashes.
The fire swept through the multi million naira property, Mercy Aigbe took to her Instagram page to share the tragic news.
In the video posted, the actress showed fans part of the destruction caused by the fire. She expressed her profound gratitude that no lives were lost in the incident despite the huge loss.
She wrote: Devastated! Thank God no life was lost! It is well”.
The actress is yet to disclose the cause of the fire outbreak.
However, sympathies from fans and colleagues have continued to pour in.
The popular actress had kicked off her acting career by starring in some soap operas, including the popular TV drama series ‘Papa Ajasco’.
She joined the Nollywood industry fully in 2006 and acted in the movie that brought her into spotlight ‘Ara’ a movie that was produced by Remi Olupo.
