Influencer and cross dresser Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju predominantly known as, Bobrisky Okuneye has blasted those focusing on his legal issues with Eonomic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC when the country is drowning in an inflated fuel price.
This came amidst the legal troubles involving the EFCC and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) following his leaked voice notes by the social media influencer and self acclaimed activist,Martin Otse popularly known as Verydarkman.
Bobrisky allegedly disclosed that an unamed Senior Advocate of Nigeria SAN had initially requested N10 million for the legal service but explained that he was unable to raise the full amount as his account had been frozen by the EFCC.
The revelation was made in a video shared by the popular social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), on Monday, October 7, 2024.
In the leaked audios, the trans-woman confessed to bribing the EFCC for his charges to be dropped and also evading prison, courtesy of his godfather and the NCOS.
Bobrisky had also cleared up speculation surrounding his incarceration, confirming that he was not in prison as many had believed.
The crossdresser alleged that her godfather, along with the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional arranged for him to serve her six-month sentence in a private apartment rather than in prison.
He also noted that while many people believe he’s into money laundering and fraudulent acts, his source of wealth is from a genuine source, with one of them being social media influencing.
Voicing his frustrations on the unending backlash, Bobrisky urged Nigerians to divert their attention from his controversies to the larger economic issues affecting the nation.
He wrote, “Fuel is now 1065 per litre and some people still think I’m the problem in dis country gosh.”
