Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has dispelled rumours alleging that she had fall out with controversial preacher Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere aka Odumeje.
The actress’ unusual quietness over the recent cleric’s birthday thanksgiving ceremony fuelled the speculations amongst fans that they had fallen out and no longer together.
Recall, that the actress was also visibly absent at the event which saw the attendance of top Nollywood stars, including Kanayo O. Kanayo, Jerry Amilo and filmmaker Mac Collins Chidebe.
But on Tuesday, the Anambra star via her Instagram, shared a video of herself attending a service at Odumeje’s church in Onitsha to shut down the rumour.
Edochie then called out the persons who claimed she had left Odumeje due to her association with other clerics, adding that being a Catholic by birth does not deny her the right to seek spiritual counsel elsewhere or associate with a “Man of God.”
She wrote;
“They said I have left my great prophet Odumeje, why?? Why? There’s no doubt most of you are in dire need of online relevance but it’s very unfortunate that I am way busy to grant such. By birth, I am a catholic, deeply rooted till tomorrow, but this doesn’t deny me the right to identify with every good man of God that is doing well.”
Rita described both Odumeje and prophet Ebuka as great prophets and would never stop identifying with them.
“Odumeje is a great prophet. Brother Ebuka Obi is a great prophet as well. I have a trailer load of them. All over the world and never will I stop identifying with them. If you’re so pained, Kuaa isi na wall. Hug transformer because Christianity and worship has no limitations. Mind your business.”
