Supporters of former President Goodluck Jonathan, who want him to return to politics, made their presence felt on Saturday at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The group carried large flags and banners with Jonathan’s picture.
They also promoted Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, saying he should be Jonathan’s running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
Their presence attracted attention as they moved around the venue, chanting songs in support of their preferred candidates.
Rumors about Jonathan returning to run for president have been going around for months.
While the former president has not spoken publicly, some of his close allies say he is seriously thinking about entering the race and may make an official announcement soon.

On Friday, posters of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, were also seen at the convention, adding to speculation about who might become major figures in the 2027 election.
The convention was lively, with different groups showing support for their favorite candidates as the PDP prepares for the next general election.
