Popular Nigerian singer, Esegine Allen popularly known as Orezi has lamented after fire razed his home in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
The singer had on Tuesday night via his Instagram narrated how the incident happened.
Orezi escaped the fire incident because, at the time his house was in flames, he was at a meeting at Lekki County.
According to the singer, he got a call from his neighbor Bobrisky, who told him that his house was on fire.
He added that he thought Bobrisky was joking until he drove to his home to see it up in flames which left him heartbroken.
He wrote:
“Last night was really hectic. Still trying to figure out and wrap my head around all that happened I’m sitting here asking my self why me God is indeed merciful. Can’t thank God enough.
” I was at a meeting in lekki county last night around 11:48 pm.
“When I got a call from Bobrisky that my house is on fire I initially thought it was was a joke, I was like Which kind yeye joke Bob dey give me so. Immediately I raced to my house, what I saw broke me.”
Orezi also shared several videos on Instagram showing his damaged property after the fire.
The incident is only coming days after another music artist Small Doctor escaped death after a fire broke out in his apartment, damaging properties worth millions of naira.
Speaking about the sad incident in an Instagram post on Thursday, Small Doctor said that he is not under pressure as the lord is with him and fortunately no life was lost.
He wrote;
“No pressure for the lord is with m,e. No life was lost. Ile Alaafin to jo, Ewa lo bun Kun. That is to say King house wey burn na make beautification fit plenty. Iyanu Mashele soonest. Mi O fah, I no break. Gegeti.”
