In a recent press briefing, the Lagos State Police Command has identified key suspects in the investigation into the untimely death of Afrobeats singer Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba. The Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, addressed the media on Friday, shedding light on the ongoing investigation.
The prime suspect in Mohbad’s death has been identified as Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse.

Ogedengbe is alleged to have administered multiple potent injections to the late singer, including Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone. These injections were given at Mohbad’s residence on September 12, leading to severe reactions, including vomiting, goosebumps, and convulsions.
Commissioner Owohunwa highlighted that Ms. Ogedengbe was unqualified to perform nursing duties in a non-clinical setting and displayed professional negligence.
Another suspect in the case is Ibrahim Oluwatosin Owodunni, known as Primeboy, who is described as a childhood friend of Mohbad. It was revealed that a physical altercation between Primeboy and the late singer occurred during a show on September 10, resulting in an injury to Mohbad.

Samson Balogun, professionally known as Sam Larry, has also been arrested and remains in detention for his alleged complicity in Mohbad’s death. The police commissioner noted that Sam Larry’s involvement is related to viral videos by the deceased, in which he spoke about bullying and assault.
Similarly, Abdul-Aziz Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has been apprehended and is currently in custody over similar allegations, as stated by Commissioner Owohunwa.
