Hon. Emmanuel Chijioke Opara, an aspirant for the Imo State House of Assembly seat for Isi-Ala Mbano State Constituency, has paid a courtesy visit to the State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Prof. James Okoroma.
Opara was accompanied by Engineer Okoro Augustine, Rev. Dr. Ngozi Kpaduwa, and Pastor Ben Ohaji during the visit.
During the meeting, Opara formally informed the party chairman of his intention to contest for the House of Assembly seat representing Osuachara Ward in Isi-Ala Mbano Local Government Area. He said he had already consulted stakeholders at the ward and local government levels and was now seeking the party’s support.
He expressed confidence in his chances if given the party’s ticket, saying he was fully prepared for the election.
Opara also presented his six-point agenda, which includes effective representation, youth empowerment, strong legislative oversight, improved healthcare services, affordable education, and enhanced security.
In response, the visit was described as friendly and cordial, with both sides expressing a sense of unity and shared political purpose within the party.
According to observers, the meeting reflected strong internal party relations as members continue consultations ahead of future elections.
The visit was confirmed in a statement signed by Eze Obilam, Chief Press Secretary to the ADC State Chairman.
