As for the GOtv packages, the Supa Plus package will see a 19% price hike, bringing the cost to N12,500 from the current N10,500. The Supa bouquet price will rise to N7,600 from N6,400, reflecting a 19% increase. Multichoice also disclosed that customers on the lowest GOtv package, Jinja, will witness a monthly price increase to N2,700 from N2,250.
Though Multichoice has refrained from providing an official statement on the recent price hike, the company had previously cited economic challenges in the country during the May increment.
Notably, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) shows a surge in Nigeria’s inflation rate to 26.72% in September 2023, up from 25.80% in August of the same year.

“Due to the various economic challenges impacting our business operations, we have had to review the price of our packages to continue delighting our customers with great entertainment, anytime and anywhere.
“MultiChoice acknowledges the difficult economic climate and thus kept the increase at the lowest possible point whilst ensuring sustainability and provision of quality services,” it said in May.
