Tochukwu Nnadi has completed a major transfer to French Ligue 1 giants Olympique de Marseille, ending his stint with Belgian side Zulte Waregem.
The 22-year-old Nigerian midfielder sealed the move after an impressive spell in Belgium, where his energy, ball-winning ability and composure in midfield caught the attention of several European clubs. Marseille moved decisively to secure his signature as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the season and future campaigns.
Nnadi’s rise has also been reflected on the international stage. He made his Super Eagles debut in December during Nigeria’s friendly against Uganda, coming on for the final 14 minutes.
Though brief, the appearance marked an important milestone in his career and underlined his growing status as one of Nigeria’s promising young midfielders.
The move to Marseille represents a significant step forward for Nnadi, who will now test himself in one of Europe’s top leagues and in front of a demanding fan base at the Stade Vélodrome.
