Under the relentless onslaught, some of the officers reportedly sought refuge in nearby establishments and dense vegetation, attempting to evade the attackers.
Regrettably, the hostile forces succeeded in capturing and fatally harming two officers during the scuffle. Shockingly, one of the officers fell victim to an appalling act of brutality as the assailants reportedly beheaded the fallen law enforcement agent.
As the details of this unsettling event continue to emerge, the spokesperson for the state police command, Chinaka Chioma Maureen, remains silent on the matter.
