The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has officially approved a three-week break for employees working at the party’s national headquarters. The announcement was made through a circular posted at the entrance of the party secretariat in Abuja by the APC Director of Administration, Prof A. A. Adediwura.

The decision to grant the holiday break comes on the heels of Dr Ganduje’s participation in the official public launch of a new book titled ‘APC and Transition Politics,’ authored by prominent APC chieftain Malam Salihu Lukman. The book launch took place in Abuja just two days prior to the announcement of the extended holiday.
In the circular titled ‘End of the Year Break,’ Prof Adediwura outlined that the 19-day break commenced on Wednesday, providing a generous timeframe for staff to partake in Christmas and New Year festivities.
The primary purpose of the extended break is to facilitate a safe passage for workers who may be traveling out of the Federal Capital Territory to celebrate the holidays with their families and loved ones.

The circular read,
“This is to inform all staff that the secretariat will be partially closed at the end of work on Wednesday, 20th December, for end of the year break to enable those who have scheduled traveling arrangements to embark on same with ease.
“The secretariat will reopen on January 8, 2024, when normal activities resume. Please note that in between this period, some selected staff will be contacted and engaged in skeletal activities accordingly.
“I wish you successful end-of-the-year celebrations and a fruitful New Year in advance.”
