The All Progressives Congress has reiterated the timetable earlier announced for its 2027 primary elections as political activities continue to gather momentum ahead of the next general elections.

According to the schedule released by the ruling party, the House of Representatives primaries will hold on Friday, May 15, 2026, while the Senate primaries are expected to take place on Monday, May 18, 2026.

The timetable also shows that the State House of Assembly primaries will be conducted on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, followed by the governorship primaries on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

The party further fixed Saturday, May 23, 2026, for its presidential primary election, where delegates are expected to elect the party’s flag bearer for the 2027 presidential race.
