A concerning development in Akure, Ondo State, as the State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party has reportedly been sealed by security agencies.
With a heavy presence of armed security personnel, including officers from the state police command and the Directorate of State Security, the entrance to the secretariat remained inaccessible to party members earlier this morning.
Consequently, apprehensive staff members refrained from entering the secretariat. Sources suggest that the security deployment was a preemptive measure in anticipation of a planned protest by the party’s youth wing concerning Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s absence from the state.
