Veteran songwriter, singer, and actress Onyeka Onwenu will be laid to rest on Friday in Lagos.
Top Society had earlier reported that the veteran singer had died at the Reddington Hospital, Lagos after she slumped while performing at the birthday party of Dr Stella Okoli, the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals.
She was 72 years old.
The funeral service, as announced by the family, is scheduled for 10 -12 noon at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju.
This will be followed by a private burial at a vault in Ikoyi.
Onyeka Onwenu was not only a gifted musician with numerous hits but also a broadcaster, actress, politician, and activist.
