The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have opened applications for people who want to become Police Constables or Specialists.
This comes after President Bola Tinubu approved the recruitment of 50,000 new personnel to strengthen security across the country.
The online application will run from December 15, 2025, to January 25, 2026. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Check Your Eligibility
Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth
Physically and mentally fit
Must be of good character with no criminal record
Age limits:
General Duty: 18–25 years
Specialists: up to 28 years
Women must not be pregnant during training
Physical requirements:
Men (General Duty): Height ≥ 1.67m, Chest ≥ 86cm
Women (General Duty): Height ≥ 1.64m
Step 2: Confirm Your Qualifications
General Duty: At least 5 credits in exams including English and Mathematics
Specialists: At least 4 credits plus 3+ years of trade experience and certificates
