On Sunday night, a tragic event unfolded as an air strike, reportedly carried out by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), resulted in the loss of numerous lives in Tudun Biri village, situated in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The tragedy unfolded around 9 pm during a Maulud celebration, as villagers gathered to observe the religious event. Shockingly, the air strike occurred, causing panic.
While the Nigerian Air Force has not officially confirmed the attack, it was gathered that the villagers were mistakenly targeted. The airstrike was allegedly intended for suspected bandits who were thought to be migrating from neighboring Zamfara State to camp in Tudun Biri village.

The aftermath has left the community in a state of panic, prompting many residents to flee to neighboring villages, fearing additional bomb attacks.
In response to the tragedy, the Kaduna State government has called for an emergency security meeting, chaired by Deputy Governor Dr. Hadiza Balarabe.
The meeting includes key figures such as the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command of the Nigerian Air Force, the Garrison Commander of the One Mechanized Division of the Nigerian Army, the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, and Samuel Aruwan, overseer of the Kaduna State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.
