The daughter of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Tobi has graduated from a private Ivy League research university, Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, United States.
According to the excited governor, the convocation ceremony was held on Monday.
Sharing photos from the ceremony on Tuesday, Makinde was pictured with his wife Tamunominini and others rejoicing with the graduate.
The 58-year-old, who is serving his second term as governor, congratulated his daughter, noting that her hard work and diligence had paid off.
He also wished her well as she embarks on a new chapter of her life, teasing that he was glad he had one less school fees to pay.
“Congratulations, my darling Tobi on your graduation from Yale University yesterday. Your hard work and diligence paid off. Wishing you all the best as you embark on a new chapter of your life and I’m also glad that I have one less school fees to pay,” he wrote.
