Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday visited the private residence of former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd) in Minna, Niger State.
Atiku arrived shortly after 1:00 pm and immediately went into a closed-door meeting with Babangida. Sources say the discussions focused on several key national issues, including electoral reforms, the electronic transmission of election results, recent tax laws, and other pressing political matters.
Approximately 40 minutes later, Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde joined the meeting, further highlighting the strategic nature of the consultation.
The meeting is expected to end with either Atiku or Babangida addressing journalists to provide updates on the discussions.
Observers say the gathering underscores the ongoing efforts by senior political figures to engage on critical national issues ahead of upcoming decisions.
