In a ceremony held at Rockview Hotel Owerri on Friday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Senator Hope Uzodimma as the winner of the Imo governorship election held on November 11, 2023.

The event, marked by the presentation of a Certificate of Return, attracted a multitude of dignitaries, including prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains.
Uzodimma, having secured an overwhelming mandate from the electorate, was reelected for a second consecutive four-year term.

The final tally revealed a resounding victory as Uzodimma garnered a total of 540,308 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate trailed with 71,503 votes. The comprehensive results announced by INEC showcased Uzodimma’s dominance, as he swept all 27 Local Government Areas of the state.
