A huge reward of ₦5 million has been announced for anyone who finds and returns the missing phone of popular Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun better known as Wizkid.
Top Society reports that the singer’s phone reportedly went missing on Saturday night during his surprise appearance at the Nativeland concert held at Sol Beach, Elegushi, Lagos.
DJ Tunez, during the event made an announcement from the stage, explaining that the 34-year-old singe’s phone had fallen during his energetic performance.
“While my brother Wizkid was performing, his phone dropped. Anybody who finds Wizkid’s phone, there’s ₦5 million waiting. It’s my boss’s phone. Please, if you find it, bring it to me,” DJ Tunez declared to the crowd.
He later reiterated the appeal on social media, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m gooooooood! Please if you find Machala’s phone hit me up! Thank you!”
This year’s Nativeland concert has been marred by controversy after the concert stage collapsed during Odumodublvck’s performance.
The viral video of the stage collapse shows the equipment crashing down on those on stage, with concertgoers fleeing for safety.
The incident caused panic among concertgoers. It is unclear if anyone was injured.
