HP Solutions has announced new updates to improve device reliability, reduce employee downtime, and support environmental goals. The announcement comes ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas. These updates include better support service packages, a new device registration service, and more certified refurbished devices.
Improved Support Services with AI
Managing IT devices can be stressful, especially when problems slow employees down. HP’s updated Support Services now use artificial intelligence (AI) to detect and fix problems before they happen. These updates are designed to make device support faster and easier, helping companies stay productive.
Here’s what the new HP Support Services offer:
HP Essential Support: Along with standard remote support, this now includes onsite repairs. AI-powered tools can also identify and fix problems before they become bigger issues.
HP Premium Support: Offers 24/7 remote support and onsite repairs by the next business day. It also includes AI-powered features like predictive issue detection, user alerts, and automated repair scheduling.
HP Premium+ Support: Adds faster repair times and access to expert support, alongside all the features of Premium Support.
These services can be added to both new and older devices globally, even after the warranty has expired.
New Device Registration Service
HP has also launched the Device Registration Service to help IT teams save time when setting up new devices. This service is especially useful as companies prepare for the end of Windows 10 support in October 2025.
With this service:
Devices are automatically registered in customers’ systems (like Microsoft Intune) within 48 hours of shipping.
User profiles and settings can be applied before the devices arrive.
IT teams get automated tools and reports for easier device management.
It supports various configurations and can be combined with other setup services for smoother rollouts.
The Device Registration Service will be available worldwide starting February 2025.
Expanded Refurbished Device Options
HP is also expanding its selection of Certified Refurbished PCs, offering more sustainable and affordable choices for businesses. Refurbished devices now include models like the HP EliteBook 830 G8, EliteBook 840 G8, EliteBook 850 G8, and EliteDesk Mini 800 G6. These devices come with a one-year warranty and the option to add two- or three-year support packages.
Currently available in the US and France, these refurbished PCs will also be available in the UK, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands by April 2025.
Refurbished devices help businesses meet sustainability goals while providing reliable performance. HP’s expanded offerings align with growing interest in circular practices, where products are reused to reduce waste and environmental impact.
A Commitment to the Future
HP continues to focus on supporting businesses with tools for a more productive and sustainable future. These updates show HP’s dedication to helping companies provide employees with reliable technology and better work experiences.
