Furthermore, Governor Otti outlined the transformational plans for the market, stating that it will transition into a general market operational from 6 am to 6 pm daily, with specific sections allocated for cattle trading and other commercial activities. Despite initial misunderstandings surrounding the policy, Governor Otti emphasized the successful resolution achieved through a constructive dialogue with the market’s leadership, solidifying mutual consent in the pursuit of the collective well-being.
He further noted that,
“We are single minded about rooting out insecurity in Abia State. Because we know that no government can succede in the face of insecurity, violence, armed and kidnapping.”
The Governor stated that devices will be stationed at key locations to guarantee the safety of lives and property in the State. He also affirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the people of Abia have a delightful Christmas this year, emphasizing that,

We are working very hard to ensure his release and the truth of the matter is that its not the present government that incarcerated Nnamdi Kanu . My personal position is that the new government does not need to inherit wrong thing of the previous administration.”
The Governor conveyed his confidence that his unique strategy would produce the desired outcome, and the public would only be informed about it once the results are achieved.
