Actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe has opened up about a challenging moment she encountered while filming her latest cinema release, Thinline.

 

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Mercy revealed that she woke up one morning on set with her eyes severely swollen, rendering her unable to continue filming. She described the pain as unbearable, which led to her being hospitalised. Doctors diagnosed her condition as a severe infection.

 

Reflecting on the ordeal, Mercy expressed gratitude to God for her strength and resilience, stating that despite the hurdles, she remains steadfast and determined to move forward.

 

The actress also extended her appreciation to everyone who has watched Thinline in cinemas, acknowledging the positive reviews and support the movie has received.

 

“Throwback to the set of Thinline. I woke up one morning on set, and my eyes were like this! We couldn’t film; we had to break set, and the pain was excruciating. I was hospitalized—it was a whole lot! Doctors said it was a severe infection.

 

“This journey with Thinline has been filled with challenges, but in all, I GIVE GOD THE GLORY. I am still standing and will keep pushing forward.

 

“Someone asked if these challenges were connected to the story in Thinline, and I honestly don’t think so! This movie demanded hard work, pain, blood, and sweat, but I’m proud of the final product.
